The Rural Development Title is designed to help rural communities so Americans can remain in rural places to live and raise a family, or, so that Americans may choose to move to such places without losing out on job or educational opportunities or quality of life.
The Rural Development Title helps ensure that rural Americans receive proper health care, including through distance learning and telemedicine and through the financing of rural hospitals and other important community facilities.
In fact, the Community Facility Loan and Grant Program may be used to finance a host of important small town facilities, including medical and dental clinics, nursing homes or assisted living facilities, town halls, courthouses, airport hangars, or street improvements. The program also assists with community support services such as childcare centers, community centers, fairgrounds or transitional housing. Public safety services such as fire departments, police stations, prisons, police vehicles, fire trucks, public works vehicles or equipment, educational services such as museums, libraries or private schools are also assisted under this program. Local food systems, too, such as community gardens, food pantries, community kitchens, food banks, food hubs or greenhouses receive help under the community facility loan and grant program.
The Rural Development Title also provides access to quality high speed internet access; rural electrification; water and waste facility loans, grants, and technical assistance; on-farm energy efficiency incentives, as well as rural business and industry initiatives to promote economic development on Main Street.
